Fallout 2 Mod: Shattered Destiny

FalloutSaw this while checking out the Bethesda Fallout 3 forums, and it's being reported on alot of the usual Fallout related sites:

"Hello,

after some years of work and back and forth, I have released my modification today.

The modification "Shattered Destiny" is the first of three chapters, that (I hope) will bring back the old Fallout feelings. In this mod, the player isn't the vault dweller or a chosen one, the player is just a guy like you and me in a post apocalyptic world that has been tortured over the years...

At first it was planed to create a totaly new and big modification, with lots of new npcs, locations, quests, and so on, but because of missing time and interessted people, I changed the hole concept to a chapter based game... "

The mod's website (http://fallout.midian-games.com) appears to be down just now, but you can D/L the mod at:

How To: Tire Armor

Right.. so you want to be prepared for the coming apocalypse and be able to dress the part of a wasteland warrior? That means you have to get acquainted with tire armor. Or maybe you just want to make a unique costume for Halloween?

This is a quick HOW TO on making some Mad Max inspired Post-Apocalyptic tire armor, and is by no means a lesson in how to make replica Mad Max armor. If you want authentic looking Mad Max costuming, we have a couple sites in our weblinks that can help you out.

A note about safety: Use common sense. Do not try and get fancy with cutting if you are not able to control your saw. Do not see if you can lop off a finger in your bolt cutters! Do not stick your head near a spinning grinder if you have long hair! I won't be held responsible if you injure yourself, so please avoid doing so.

If you've ever heard of Tales from the Afternow, we are now operating a mirror for the Post-Apoc audio series at http://tftan.endoftheworldfor.us. We might be doing some back-end changes to it this weekend, but you should be good to start grabbing it.

If you haven't ever heard of it, I recommend checking it out. There are 17 episodes in total, each approximately an hour in length.

Also, just a note to say we're undertaking some back end changes to the site, so that's holding up a few reviews we got queued up and ready to publish. The situation was such that we grabbed some off-the-shelf component for reviews on the front page, but it doesn't -quite- work how we want.. so we're fixing it, and should have some new reviews for you this weekend!

First of many planned book reviews. We take a look at Piers Anthony's post-nuclear America trilogy. A surprisingly good book where the known land is divided into nomadic Barbarians, and the reclusive Crazies.
Disputes over loyalty, name, woman, shelter, and pretty much anything else, are resolved in the Battle Circle.

Vradin has reviewed the movie New Rose Hotel, which is based on the short story by William Gibson.
Christopher Walken, William Dafoe, and Asia Argento star in this story about two crooks that are trying to move a top rated scientist away from the Mass megacorp he's currently working for. And of course they will be all be getting paid well to do it.
You can read about it here.
