Offical Blurb:

Wandering a zombie wasteland, Matool survives by his wits and animal instinct, often employing his trusty hammer and gigantic nails to fend off the ravenous hordes of flesh-eating undead. But when he is kidnapped by a mysterious couple, Matool must rely on an entirely different weapon in his arsenal to survive...

First off, I'll preface this review that it's comedic in nature, but not ha-ha funny. It's a semi-fun romp through a few days in the lives of people during the Zombie Apocalypse.. and sure, they aren't entirely normal lives, but they are doing what they can.

The central character of this film is Matool ( Kurly Tlapoyawa ), who wants to live his life as best he can. He combats the zombie menance using a unique combination of boxing to knock em down, and a hammer with large nails to the head to ensure they stay down.

When Dexy (played by 'Diva') dispatches her husband Nathan (Ross Kelly) to pick her up some fresh meat, as in swingers, Matool quickly finds himself smacked with a truck door and taken to their fairly quiet house in the foothills.

Up until now, the movie is pretty straight forward.. after this point, it starts to delve into a strange bizzare world of swinging couples, conjoined twins that like to spank people, and helping out the occasional wandering military patrol.

Oh.. and I forgot to mention the zombie rape.. Nathan keeps a former female subject of Dexy's lust in a shed.. and occasionally takes out his sexual frustrations on her. It's a little bizzare.

What I liked:
I enjoyed the 'Day in the Life' style of this movie and Matool's unique method of combating zombies.
Like many of the better zombie movies, this film isn't about the zombies themselves, but rather how the people deal with the situation. Zombies are ever-present, but are not overbearing. The characters regard them as an unwelcome daily routine, which is probably would it would be like, especially considering the remote location of Nathan & Dexy's house, and that this film utilizes the traditional 'shambling zombies'.
The movie itself is a low-budget zombie flick, and sometimes the acting is strained, but overall it's a top-level production for a purposefully B movie.

What I didn't like:
I strongly prefer the shamble zombies, but there is mention of the 'fast' zombies, which is fine. It did however leave me wondering when you would see more of the fast zombies, as you only get to see a very very briefly in a flash-back scene. It feels like it would have just been better to not even mention them.
WTH is that thing on Dexy's sister's (Sassy, played very well by Kristin Hansen) side? I mean.. weird.
