Fallen Earth Lead Designer Interview |

 Games MPOGD has an interview that's a few days old with the Lead Game Designer of Fallen Earth. The Post-Apoc themed MMORPG.
Some things that struck me as interesting:
- The Real-Time crafting system that lets you craft while you are offline. Few minutes to make bandages, 5 hours to make a gun, 2 weeks to make a car.
- Crafting is based on salvage..like.. you have to search junk piles.
- Semi-FPS combat model. If you will have actually aim at your target to hit. People that have played the Sci-Fi game Tabla Rasa will understand this.
- Weapons and equipment based on skill points, not player level. But you get skill points as you level.
- PvP based on one of 6 in-game factions.. the goal to control and govern towns.
